The Circus Field houses the Circus Big Top, renowned for its outstanding and fabulous acts, and The Outside Circus Stage, which presents unfailingly engaging street and circus shows. You’ll also find a little outside stage – The Topless Circus!
In Glebeland, you’ll find The Astrolabe, a venue presenting international theatre, dance and music and the Blazing Saddles stage, showcasing astounding dance and theatre companies, and then, after dark – Glebeland’s Fire Corner blazes into life. There will be cutting-edge chain saw shows too.
Bella’s Field (which was East Holts) hosts the world famous Cabaret Tent, with its usual delicious spread of juicy names. Sensation Seekers Stage does exactly what it says on the tin and this year, The Poetry and Words Tent are offering more wit and word-smithery before transforming into Mavericks at 8pm each night. Mavericks, is an intimate yet glorious space for sit-down evening entertainment, old school style. And as you wander through the field, make sure you find A Little More Sensation and And Yet More – two smaller stages offering on-going entertainment.
And there’s more. As an extra bonus this year, you can find The Pavement Stage as you enter the Circus Field from the markets. This small stage will be running some outstanding shows throughout the day, providing a feast of visual, rhythmic and comedic delights, culminating in the fabulous Festival Fire Swingers after dark.
