WRITE A MOVIE MASTERPIECE

Cinema Tent
Friday 27th June, 4pm-7.55pm
Max Participants 75
Suitable for all ages

Have you got a great idea for a movie? Now’s your chance to let it rip!

After screenwriting top tips from the experts at Young Film Academy, competing teams will put their skills to the test, plotting against the clock to come up with the best original idea for a commercial movie, before pitching to a live audience to win great prizes.

The first part of the workshop will show how great film storylines are created from ‘Finding Nemo’
through ‘Star Wars’.

There’s a break midway for a Metallica documentary screening in the cinema tent, during which time teams will adjourn to come up with a title, genre, storyline, characters and marketing
strategy for their movie.

In part two of the workshop, teams will return to the cinema tent to take the mic and pitch their movie to the live audience, who will double as potential investors.

Drama, horror, romcom, gross-out comedy, action, animation, family adventure... the sky’s the limit. The team that gets the most investment (votes) for their story wins - and gets a prize...

Suitable for all ages.

So come along and get creative!
