Glastonbury Festival 2013

Onsite Shuttle Service

From the start of the festival there will be a free shuttle bus service available for our disabled customers running from the disabled car park to the disabled campsite. On Friday, Saturday & Sunday there will also be an additional service dropping off and picking up at 2 designated stops onsite.

The shuttle bus service will be run by a team from ‘Social Access’ which is a registered charity providing fully accessible, door to door transport for disabled people across the South West. The charity has operated the citywide ‘Dial-a-Ride’ service in Bristol for over 25 years (www.bristoldialaride.org.uk) and provides driver and accessible vehicle hire for community groups and not for profit organisations who support disabled people.

As part of their annual Festival and Events Programme, Glastonbury Festival is lucky enough to again have  a team of Social Access volunteer drivers and passenger assistants operating our festival shuttle service.

Some ‘drop off’ passes to the disabled campsite are issued when a person is unable to use the shuttle bus due to their disability, or if extremely heavy medical equipment/ wheelchairs are required. A request for this pass can be made via the registration form.
