Glastonbury Festival is proud to announce a groundbreaking collaboration with Attitude is Everything which will see the first Club Attitude showcase on a major festival stage. The stage will feature five hours of programming from the best disabled artists in the world, including punk outfit Heavy Load and psychedelic act Spaceships Are Cool. There will also be a deaf rave featuring sets from DJ Chinaman.

The event will be based on the Dada Stage in the Shangri-La field on the Saturday of the festival from 2-6pm. There will be an accessible viewing area for wheelchair users as well as BSL Interpreters.

Stop Press!

Attitude is Everything is delighted to have secured the screening of the Heavy Load movie (the band themselves will be performing at 16.45) to kick off their showcase on the DaDa Stage at Glastonbury 2009.

Winner of the 2008 Britdoc Audience Award, the film joins director Jerry Rothwell as he tracks two years in the life of the Brighton-based quintet, observing the hard-fought battles between the opposing worlds of institutional timetables and day centres versus the chaotic maelstrom of rehearsal rooms and studios, all the while following a gigging schedule that spans from a local pub in Lewes to the crowds of Wychwood Festival. We also see the beginning of the nationwide ‘Stay Up Late’ campaign – a movement to liberate the social lives of people with learning disabilities.

To close the Attitude showcase, our special guests are Yes Sir Boss!!!

Yes Sir Boss!!! moved to St Pauls, the reggae epicentre of Bristol, in 2008 and have been enjoying distinguished gigs and local respect ever since. With festivals such as Shambala, Larmer Tree, Green Man and Electric Picnic, not to mention Channel 4’s ‘Come Dine With Me’ appearances, Yes Sir Boss!!! seem set to continue in their mission; to provide unique, epic and brawny music to the masses.
