Shelter to provide Festival bar staff

May 14, 2014

We’re pleased to report that Shelter will once again provide volunteer bar staff for this year’s Glastonbury. In return, the housing and homelessness charity will be given a donation of £35,000 by the Festival.

There will be a total of 94 bars at Glastonbury 2014, from secret cubby hole venues that can only host a handful of Festival-goers, to cocktail bars and real ale pub tents.

The Festival has also appointed local Somerset company, Thatchers Cider, as the official cider provider for the next three years. Thatchers Gold will be available in all of the Festival’s bars. A specially created Craft Cider Bar will also be installed in the Williams Green area of the Festival site.
