Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel to play Extravaganza

May 16, 2013

Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel will support Bryan Ferry & The Bryan Ferry Orchestra at the Glastonbury Abbey Extravaganza on 11th August, Festival founder Michael Eavis announced today.

It will be the ’70s legend’s second time opening an Extravaganza in the spectacular grounds of Glastonbury Abbey. The singer, famous for the iconic chart topper Make Me Smile (Come Up And See Me), also supported Madness in 2010.

Michael said: “I was looking for a support for Bryan Ferry and hoped that Steve Harley would want to do it. Just one phone call did the trick and he was delighted to come back to the Abbey. He’s played at the Pilton Festival so many times and he is a legend as far as I am concerned.”

The evening will be topped with the traditional firework display.
