The World Cup at Glastonbury

June 6, 2010

As you probably know, this year’s Glastonbury Festival will take place during the 2010 FIFA World Cup finals in South Africa.

England’s last group game, against Slovenia on Wednesday June 23, will be shown on the Pyramid Stage screens (kick off 3pm).

Should England qualify for the knock-out stages (fingers crossed!) their last 16 game will also be shown live at the Festival, though not on the Pyramid Stage – which will be busy with bands by that point!

The game will either be on the Saturday evening at 7.30pm (if England win their group) or on Sunday afternoon at 3pm (if England are runners up in their group).

Please keep an eye on the big screens, Information notice boards, the website and the @glastofest Twitter acount to find out when/where the game will be shown.

Apologies to those of you coming from far afield, but no other games from the World Cup are due to be shown during the Festival.
