Late night at Glastonbury – more than just the SE Corner!

June 25, 2019

When the big Glastonbury stages finish each night, the Festival offers a vast array of late-night entertainment options. Those include the legendary areas in the site’s South East corner – Shangri-La, Block9, The Common and Unfairground – but you may not know how many other amazing after-hours options are available to you. So here’s some info to help you party into the wee small hours without necessarily having to join the big crowds.

When’s a good time to head to Arcadia’s Pangea?

Arcadia’s Pangea stays vibrant until 3am (2.30am Sunday) but head there for sunset to catch their iconic Bug do its thing and kick-off their heavyweight party line-up.

When is the best time to visit the South East Corner?

The peak time to visit the SE Corner is on Thursday night and directly after the headliners have finished their sets on the big stages, from 11.30pm onwards on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. If you’d rather avoid the crowds and the queues, then head there before 10pm (they’re open all day) or get there after 4am.

What if I do visit the South East Corner at peak times?

Be patient – as you may have to queue for a bit – and follow the instructions of the stewards and the LED info screens. They are there for your safety and to provide information, and you’ll certainly have a smoother visit if you pay attention to them.

Where else can I go for late-night entertainment?

Probably more places than you realise. Here is a selection of areas/venues where you’ll find fantastic entertainment long after the main music stages have closed (most of these run until at least 3am).

Silver Hayes (Wow, Pussy Parlure, Gully Blues, Heds Party, Sonic, No Average Groove, BBC Introducing)
The Glade (Glade, Glade Lounge, Spaceport, The Spike)
Theatre & Circus Fields (Astrolabe, Summer House, Cabaret, Mavericks, Sensation Seekers)
