Since 2007, BBC Introducing has been adding to Glastonbury’s musical medley by offering a selection of the best emerging British talent on its very own stage – now based in Silver Hayes. The likes of Jake Bugg, Ed Sheeran and Indiana performed on the stage early on in their careers and this year they’ll present a fresh roster of exciting UK artists from across the genres.
The artists who you’ll see and hear on the BBC Introducing stage sent their music to the BBC via the BBC Introducing Uploader and have been supported by their local BBC Introducing show. A panel of respected producers and presenters from across BBC Radio 1, Radio 2, 1Xtra, Asian Network and 6Music build the line-up and, alongside these, a series of special guests are invited to perform over weekend too. Annie Mac will also be broadcasting her Friday night dance show on Radio 1, live from the stage.
