For more than 50 years, Greenpeace has been using peaceful protest to bring about change. And for 33 of those 50 years, Glastonbury Festival has been home to Greenpeace’s most creative and powerful festival presence – a place of astonishing creativity where unmissable live sets, incredible DJs and special guests collectively support Greenpeace’s mission.
This year, Greenpeace are at Glastonbury Festival to remind festival goers to stand up for our democratic rights and to join the growing global demand for fossil fuel companies to FINALLY ‘Stop Drilling & Start Paying’. The science is clear: fossil fuel companies like Shell cannot drill for new fossil fuels any more if we are to have a liveable planet. Greenpeace are asking that they stop business as usual and compensate for the environmental damage they have caused already.
Protest is a vital sign of a healthy democracy and a protected human right. Protest has won many of the freedoms we take for granted today, like votes for women, the freedom to roam our countryside and landmark bans on whaling and fracking. These victories could not have been won at the ballot box, but this democratic right is being whittled away. So we must keep fighting for a greener, safer future – until fossil fuel companies stop their destructive drilling and start paying for the climate destruction they cause. The time is now—will you rise with us to meet it?

This year the line-up on the Greenpeace Field is shaping up to be one of their strongest yet. Live sets come from a hugely diverse range of artists including Libertines frontman Peter Doherty, trailblazing and fast-rising British-Japanese artist Miso Extra, Nottingham alt-country quartet Divorce, French must-see DJ and Ed Banger Records’ own Myd, acclaimed spoken word artist and musician Joshua Idehen, the vibrantly innovative audio-visual duo Mermaid Chunky, plus many more. We also see the return of the global nightlife phenomenon and party facilitators Glitterbox for their renowned Friday night takeover featuring the LGBTQ+ activist, DJ and all round legend Fat Tony, Skream (Disco Set) + Eliza Rose B2B Dan Shake.
This year the iconic 22-metre high Rave Tree returns with a bang with DJ sets from the likes of British actor, DJ and musician Idris Elba, producer, boundary pushing DJ Anish Kumar, and DJ Flight, the award-winning DJ, broadcaster, radio producer, and co-founder of EQ50, a collective of women working towards fairer representation in dance music. The weekend will also see sets from South-West London drum & bass DJ Wilkinson, rising star in the new wave of UK Garage MPH, forward-thinking, Tokyo-born, London-based DJ Riria, and drum and bass powerhouse and inspiring beacon of representation for queer culture and trans lives in the dance music community Mandiextrous.
What promises to be a big highlight this year comes at 11am on Friday morning as Greenpeace Presents Letters Live. Since 2013, Letters Live has established itself as a very powerful and dynamic event format that has attracted outstanding talents to perform remarkable letters in front of a live audience. Inspired by Shaun Usher’s international best-selling Letters of Note series and Simon Garfield’s To the Letter, Letters Live is a celebration of the enduring power of literary correspondence. On the Greenpeace stage, some incredible talents and household names will read letters that focus on the climate, nature and the fight for our environment, reminding us of the enduring power of the written word.
Letters Live is only part of this year’s focus on storytelling. This Glastonbury, Greenpeace will host some truly inspiring artist campaign collaborations with social media, political commentator, comedian wannabe and “all-round unlikeable bastard” Danny F**king Price, internationally renowned artist Oliver Jeffers, who brings his interactive Drawing Stories show to the field, acclaimed London-based Nigerian artist Slawn who is recognised for intersecting street art with Abstract Expressionist styles, plus the vibrant Irish storytelling collective Seanchoíche, who are set to bring voices, truth, and imagination to the Greenpeace Field. This year for the first time Greenpeace will also be showcasing Nature Sounds – a never seen before 360 surround sound system that will make you hear a pin or beat drop wherever you are stood.
Also new for 2025, BEAM, the walk-through sculptural installation and standing dead wood habitat that was created in 2019 by multi-award winning artist Wolfgang Buttress, has been playfully, and some would say cheekily, reimagined as The Apocalypse Museum + Hell Bus (Or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Start Disobeying). This immersive and thought-provoking experience uses humour and insight to explore both the challenges facing our planet and the potential for positive change through human action. The interactive museum space features The Hell Bus, a satirical installation by renowned artist, illustrator, and writer Spelling Mistakes Cost Lives, that offers a fun and clever look at environmental messaging and greenwashing. The space will also be hosting a programme of talks and workshops from Wednesday to Sunday that will encourage curiosity, conversation, and action.
For those seeking a moment of respite the Greenpeace Field has plenty to offer. Grab a plant-based pasta at the Greenpeace Kitchen, relax at the Greenpeace Bar, or take a thrilling ride down the massive Drop Slide. Watch skaters defy gravity at the Greenpeace Skate Ramp, then freshen up in our legendary hot showers – a festival essential.
2025 is set to be another landmark year on the Greenpeace Field which in recent years has hosted unforgettable performances from Lynks, Myles Smith, Bimini, Self Esteem, Moonchild Sanelly, Lambrini Girls, Lottery Winners, Fatboy Slim, Nova Twins, Mel C, Tim Burgess, Say She She, and many more. With over 200,000 people in attendance, Worthy Farm is a place like no other for you to join with Greenpeace to highlight the effective changes we can each make for a more inclusive, peaceful and fairer planet.
