As always, Glastonbury Festival presents a brilliant selection of bars across the site. With more venues than ever, you’ll never be far from your favourite tipple. Whether it’s real ale, a pint of local cider or a fabulous cocktail, you won’t be disappointed.
Firm favourites such as the Meeting Place, West Holts Bar, the Cockmill, Avalon Inn, the Park Bar and the Cornish Arms will be making a welcome return and are all stocked to the brim, ready for your arrival. Cider lovers will also be pleased to know that the Craft Cider Stalls are returning with four stalls across the site with a great mix of locally sourced refreshing ciders. There will also be a dedicated Tennessee Whiskey Bar within the Meeting Place serving cocktails or straight on the rocks, and on Thursday night in the West Holts Bar we’re taking you on a trip to South America with some of the best Cuban musical flavours to get you dancing while you enjoy the best mojitos and rum cocktails to be found.
So to help you on your travels, why not visit one of the many bars at the end of your journey or as the meeting place to catch up with friends. The variety of bars is endless, find your favourite!
West Holts Bar
The West Holts Bar holds the torch for the Jazz world field of yesteryear with a music policy that encompasses all strains of jazz/soul/rock with emphasis always being on originality and quality. Featuring an Aztec-style frontage with our Foxes standing guard, come in, bring your friends and dance the night away in this friendly and colourful venue. Although a great place to sit back, chill and enjoy the live music taking place on the West Holts stage, in between artists the West Holts Bar will be featuring its own entertainment, including the Festival-Famous “Big Fat Festival Quiz” which will be making a welcome return.
On Thursday night we’re bringing you something very special. Come and enjoy the flavour of South America with a special Cuban Rum night, featuring some of the best Cuban DJs, live music and mojitos. Special guests: NORTEC COLLECTIVE PRESENTS BOSTICH + FUSSIBLE “Tijuana Sound Machine”
The Meeting Place
Come meet your friends at The Meeting Place! This market bar has become a firm favourite and returns to take its rightful place opposite Williams Green within the festival’s street and food market. This is the perfect place to meet your friends, kick back, and as the sun goes down, try to stop yourself from dancing as our DJs bring the beach bar vibes to the heart of the festival. Treat yourself and your friends to a cocktail pitcher from our Tennessee Whisky Bar – sharing is caring!
This rustic, traditional bar – filled with cosy snugs – offers the finest choice of craft and real ales at Glastonbury Festival. Located in the heart of the Acoustic Field, the selection of twelve ales, including three local Somerset ales, will be sure to keep any beer aficionado happy. Away from the hustle and bustle of the main Festival, the Cockmill also offers beautiful panoramic views of the site, and one of the best night time scenes.
Craft Cider Stalls
Featuring cider lovingly made in the heart of Somerset with the finest apples, there will be four stalls across the site for you to enjoy. Located at William’s Green, Silver Hayes, the Glade and the Bandstand, you’ll never be far from a refreshing pint of appley goodness.
With its feet planted firmly in the future, the G-Stage Bar is an ode to the techno-gyptians of tomorrow. This year, the bar will also feature seating inside, to rest your weary legs before continuing the party. Come inside our monolithic pyramid, slowly being sucked skyward by the ethereal high priests of the Glade. All hail the Gods of Techno!
This fantastically multi-coloured venue features a colourful Bollywood theme and specialises in a range of local ales, making the Park Bar the place to be in this iconic field. Sit back and relax, and you could almost begin to believe you’re sipping the finest beer under the vibrant lights of the blue city of Rajasthan.
The Hop & Liquor
A great man once said “Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy”. You will be more than happy with our choice of beers, ecstatic about our cocktails and overjoyed by the atmosphere. Hang out at Hop & Liquor. You’ll be happy you did!
Once again the undergrowth will be hacked back to reveal the medieval Avalon Inn in the Field of Avalon. Seek out the serving wenches for a fine ale or two straight from the barrel. Enjoy the timbered ambience of the wooden structure. But beware – once you enter you may never want to leave!
The Cornish Arms
This Cornish Ale Pub is situated in the heart of Glastonbury main town and very near the Leftfield Stage. The bar will be serving a selection of fine festival beverages including Cornish Ales and delicious Rum Cocktails; think traditional Cornish ale pub meets 1970’s surfer’s beach shack. A welcome space to sit down and put your feet up, slurp an ale or two, or dabble with a cocktail. The perfect meeting spot in the middle of the markets.
Rock the Kasbah
Located near the West Holts Stage in the heart of the action, Rock the Kasbah, with its Moroccan theming, provides a little something extra for you to enjoy. Making use of fabulous scenery set amongst rich colours and fabrics we transport you to a new destination as you relax and unwind on our cushioned seating underneath the star lit ceiling. With a fully stocked bar offering all of the Glastonbury favourites and authentic music, this is a must visit for revellers young and old alike.
With its multi-coloured venue and funky furniture, after sunset, the atmosphere here seamlessly shifts from a fun, chilled out daytime vibe, into a buzzing bar replete with our resident DJ playing tunes spinning tunes into the early hours. Open from 10am our bar staff will be waiting to offer you a cold, refreshing drink or provide you a much needed seat throughout the day. And when it comes to the evening don’t let your night end after the headline acts, why not come and join us for an after party with music until 2am. Come and visit us on your way through Butts Lane from Pyramid and Otherstage – you will find us on the main road!
Ridge and Furrow
The bar opens on Wednesday till late and can be found in the Cabaret field and which is next to West Holts Stage. Serving great ales, cocktails and a full range bar.
Looking to try somewhere new at Glastonbury this year? Head to The Theatre Bar, where you can witness the weird and wondrous goings-on in the Theatre Field, or enjoy the sounds of local DJ’s spinning the tunes along with some special guest DJ spots across the festival weekend. As well as a unique and friendly atmosphere, the Theatre Bar has become renowned for its wide array of tipples and this year will also include a number of European Craft Beers, some of which cannot be found anywhere else across the festival.
